Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy applies to people protected by a US consumer health data law: residents of the states concerned, such as Washington (My Health My Data Act), Nevada, and Connecticut, and anyone whose consumer health data is collected while they are in Washington.
Consumer health data collected: meals, meal photos and text, estimated calories and macros, weight and goals, nutrition profile (age, sex, height, activity level, and the dietary constraints or preferences you describe, which can reveal a health condition), and the Apple Health data you authorize (activity, workouts, energy burn, sleep). It comes from you, from Apple Health with your permission, and from the app's analyses of this data.
Purposes: provide the features you request (meal analysis, targets, coaching, Health sync) and secure the service. This data is not used for advertising.
Sharing: only with service providers acting on our behalf to provide the service. Hosting and storage providers hold all the categories above; AI analysis providers receive your optional first name, the meals, meal photos and text, nutrition estimates, weight, goals, nutrition profile (age, sex, height, activity level, dietary constraints), and Health context needed for an analysis, a target, or guidance you request. Pearo has no affiliates with which this data is shared. Pearo does not sell your consumer health data and does not share it for advertising.
Consent: consumer health data is collected with your consent, when you use these features and grant Apple Health permissions. You can withdraw it at any time by revoking those permissions or deleting your account.
Your rights: confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, access it (export from the Profile screen), obtain the list of third parties it was shared with, withdraw consent, and delete it (in the app or by writing to support@pearo.fr). We respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our message; if the appeal is denied, you can contact your state Attorney General. Exercising these rights does not lead to any discrimination.
